Admiration of the opposite sex

Opposite attracts. People are like magnets, you have a certain feeling about the others, no matter good or bad. Your childhood sweetheart may turn out to be a big jerk. Your long time friend may become your future partner. Who knows what's around the corner?
People who fall in or out of love know the feeling. You can't live without them. You have to tell them everything even though it's just about a new handbag that you've brought. The other will listen to you as if the handbag is Prada and must compare price with you. He will be there when you are shopping, swiping the Visa card without breaking a sweat. Why? Because he loves you. He doesn't care if you are stupid. He doesn't care if you are smart. As long as you love him in return, he will do anything for you. You will cook for him no matter how late he comes home. Fill up the tub with hot water. You will clean his house. You will drive him to places. You will ask him to do impossible things like getting a rock from the moon. You will bring up his kids. That's what love is all about.
Before Valentine's Day, let's review the present status of the relationship between men and women around the world. At least the part of the world where I live in.
Most of my friends have a partner or a boy/girlfriend. They are happy with their relationship, if they are not, they are breaking up with them. The people who are single are reasonably happy, but some are trying to find the one in the crowd. Congratulation to those who found their love ones, good on you. Work hard on it. Relationship can't be taken for granted. If you've sow the seed, you have got to water it so it will grow up and flower in the spring and summer. You have to pull out the weeds around the flower so it will get all the nutrients in the ground. You have to get rid of the dead plant in the winter so you can sow the seed again. Love is a lot like a garden, it requires tender loving care.
A lot of people don't take care of their relationships. That's why you break up. Don't expect the other half to wait around for you forever, that's not gonna happen.
So have I got any advice for those people who are trying to find a partner? Yes, I have. Don't take my word if you know how to do it because you know the answer in the deepest of your heart.
1. Find someone who is easy to talk to. I think communication is the most important thing in the relationship. Try to find someone who is easy to talk to. Try to find someone who is truthful. Find someone who will tell you what he/she did and not hide anything. It will be easier to get to know this person, and more you know about them, the more you will like/dislike them.
2. Find someone who is similar/disimilar to you. Yes, this is what happens. Sometimes you want to find a person who is exactly like you, but you may get too bored with this person and long for someone who is different. That's why foreign lovers are in such high demand. Someone who is from a different place. Someone who is from a different background. Someone exotic. However, you may find them so exotic and dispicable that you will want to go back to someone who is more normal. Having the same interest often helps. Watching movies. Reading books. Riding. Swimming. Drawing. You name it, you will find someone out there who likes doing what you do.
3. Find a reliable person. Being reliable may make a person boring, but reliability is very important throughout the life. Someone who is never on time is not reliable. Someone who does not have a job is not reliable. Someone who doesn't have a bank account with money in it is not reliable. Someone who make empty promises is not reliable. Reliability brings stability, and stability brings a good life. Of course some people doesn't want to stay in one place all the time, but a reliable person will go with you to the end of the world because they will always be there for you no matter what. They won't throw stones into the well when you are at the bottom, they will pull you up. They won't let you get lost in the woods and will always check if you are walking too slowly. It's a matter of life and death, so find someone who is reliable.
4. Find a nice looking person. Yes, I mean it. It's important. I don't mean those people who have movie star looks. A person who looks straight and trustworthy. A person who has confidence and stand out in a crowd. A person who believe in themselves. All these qualities make you look good. Tidy and clean. Also, it makes your life easier to look at nice looking person. (I am so shallow.)
5. Find someone who you can work with. That's important because you don't want to fight all the time when you are renovating your kitchen. You don't want someone to pick on you when you have spent three hours in the kitchen making a soup. You don't want someone who doesn't mow the lawn or cut the tree. You don't want someone who will not hand over their money so you guys can buy a house togehter. No. You don't want that kind of person who is selfish and arrogant. You want someone who is willing to share the glory with you when you succeed. You want someone who will cry with you when you are sad, not someone who is cold and distant.
I can't think of any good qualities you can find, so I will end this article with a piece of advice that I have been given by my sister:
"Stop looking for the person who you love. They will come and find you."
Exactly. When you stop looking for love, they will find you.
