Recently we have acquired a pet-setting job from our friend's neighbour. They have an old guinea pig that slowly lose its fur on the front legs. Even though it is five years old and eating towards destruction, it's extremely cute.
I think mum's opinion about pet is quite philosophical:
"I can't even take care of you so why should I get a pet?"
We haven't had a pet since we moved from Taiwan. It's such a shame because pets are friends who will not argue with you. It generally listen to your problem, eat a lot and sleep through the day. The famous Harry Potter has an owl, his friend Ron has a rat, Hermione has a cat, and pets have featured in films and books through out the centuries.
Snoopy, the lovable character in cartoon Peanuts, is a pet of Charlie Brown. Its life has touched many hearts around the world. Even after the death of the creator, it continues to capture the heart of young and old. It likes to fly on top of its house as a fighter pilot. I love Snoopy, too.
Pets can be quite annoying sometimes. Iago, the parrot in Aladdin, is a very noisy pet.
In the Simpsons, Santa's Little Helper features in several episodes. It is quite realistic.
Next time, if you ever come across a weird pet, then you should look at the owner. The owner stands out in a crowd as well. Have you ever seen a guy who takes his snake to work? I hope not.
Pet relaxes you. After a hard day at work, you want to sit down in front of your television and do absolutely nothing. You want to hold your cat on your lap and tell it all your problems until its bored stiff. You want to walk your dog in the sun set. You want to run with your dog so the frustration from work can be released. When you are on holiday, you want to leave the city life behind and enjoy some quality time with your children and your pet. You want to leave land behind to catch some fish. You want to take time out.
Pets will always be with you no matter what. You should take care of it. Be gentle to it. They remembers. Just like elephants remember. Take it with you when you are strolling down the street.
Have a nice time with your pet when you can. There are a lot of people who will kill for a pet, but sincerely can't have one for various reasons. Good luck for the people who have pets. Good luck also to people who wants to have pets. Don't over do it, though. You will look weird and stupid.
